flying in mumbai!

i watched them silently, something about them having mesmerized me.

they rode ahead.seemingly unaware of each other.the young guy manuevering the bike.the girlfriend, sitting behind him, holding on,staring off, lost in thought.it was like a routine.but i still watched.i had nothing else to do, we were driving to the train station.
ahead there was a speed bump.
suddenly i sensed a change in the girl.she was suddenly intersted.head still bent, she was now looking at the speed bump expectantly.
as they got closer, the boy sped up and as soon as they reached it, his right arm came around back to hold her, secure her as she raised her arms up and leaned her head and body back!
she was flying!
no words were spoken.
and after the bump she went back to staring off into space.

i thought this was the sweetest thing id ever seen.all of this happened without them exchanging a single word.the level of understanding, him knowing what she'd do and the sweet concern in his reaching back to hold her.even now i remember it so vivdly it could have happened yesterday.

and yes ill admit, i was a tad bit jealous!

You know what they say about smiles?
Everytime you smile when you are alone, you really mean it. This is one of those posts... or rather memory i suppose. It'll bring a smile to your face... Tell me if I am wrong. Between, you a journalist?
